About

Dui Bhubon (দুই ভুবন in Bengali meaning “Two Worlds”) is a digital archive showcasing the accomplishments of the Bangladeshi-Canadian community from diverse genders, religious, educational, and social backgrounds. Our Origins

Our project traces back to a monograph published by Dr. Mustahid Husain called, Masculinity and Mental Health of Muslim Men of Colour: Diaspora and Intersectionality of Canadian Youth (see more). This book investigated the causes behind the unusually-high suicide rates of young Bangladeshi-Canadian men, corroborated by BIES – an NGO based in Toronto. Our study has now expanded to the youth of diverse genders and identities.
